A list of rare, threatened or endangered vertebrates of Oregon which includes for each taxon: scientific name, common name, Heritage Global Rank, Heritage State Rank, Federal Status, State Status, Heritage List number, Oregon county distribution, Oregon ecoregion distribution, and other states or provinces in which it has been reported to occur.
Global and Stank Heritage Ranks follow the Heritage ranking protocol of NatureServe and outlined on their web site (http://www.natureserve.org/explorer/ranking.htm).
Notations in
ranks: B = breeding, G = global, H =
historic record, N = non-breeding, NR = unknown, Q = questionable taxon, S =

Federal Status is from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service or National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAA Fisheries). State Status is from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Counties listed in the Oregon County Distribution column have been culled from known occurrences, literature or reputable sighting reports or personal communications. If ORNHIC found the information unclear then a question mark was denoted after the county name.
Ecoregion distribution information is based on the map developed by: Thorson, T.D., Bryce, S.A., Lammers, D.A., Woods, A.J., Omernik, J.M., Kagan, J.S., Pater, D.E. and Comstock, J.A., 2003. Ecoregions of Oregon. More information and a digital copy is available at http://www.epa.gov/wed/pages/ecoregions/or_eco.htm
NatureServe Explorer (http://www.natureserve.org/explorer) was used to gather information for State and Province distribution listed in the Other States column.
